A second edition of Ludovico Esposito’s AVANT music festival is set for Aug. 5-6 in Salento, Italy.

“AVANT is like a temporary world where music, nature, food and wine constantly interact, serving as an aggregator of local and European cultures and music enthusiasts,” writes Esposito in a promotional email. “It’s not only a festival, but also an occasion to visit a new, remote territory, Salento, full of splendid natural and Baroque spots.”

The lineup includes Germany’s Frank Bretschneider and Gajek, Australia’s Julia Reidy, Austria’s Gischt and Italy’s Matilde Davoli.
