
El Muelle Records has released a 42-track tribute to the late Mimi Parker of Low. sLOW sketch, Vol. 3: Reflections Of The Ambient Community is part of a series that launched in 2019.
“After the death of Mimi Parker, it occurred to me to do a tribute to Low and Mimi,” says label runner and artist Pepo Galán. “Musicians from all over the world participated in it. Some made covers and others made songs inspired by Low’s music.”
The result is a three-plus-hour, richly contemplative tribute. In addition to Galán’s contribution, which features vocalist Karen Vogt, the release includes work by Stephen Vitiello and Molly Berg, Mona Kazu and Vincent Stockholm, Max Würden, Bruno Sanfilippo, Eduardo Briganty and more.
Proceeds from the album’s sale will go to ovarian cancer research.
