Czechia’s Ostrava Days Institute has issued a call for applications to its 12th summer festival. The program features three weeks of lectures, workshops and other meetings, along with a 10-day festival. This year’s event runs Aug. 14 to Sept. 2. The deadline for submissions is Mar. 15.
“Ostrava Days allows participants to develop one-on-one relationships, which we hold essential for ideas to emerge, both musical and artistic,” according to a media release. An estimated 30 young composers and performers will be invited to work with Ana Sokolović, Bernhard Lang, Roscoe Mitchell and others.
