Discussions: David Jaeger

David Jaeger is one of the great figures of modern music.

Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, he later studied at the University of Toronto. His broadcasting career began in 1973 as a CBC music producer. He’s best known for creating and producing Two New Hours, a brilliant contemporary music program.

Jaeger was a founding member of the Canadian Electronic Ensemble, formed in 1971. Throughout his career, he has also been an active composer.

Next month will see the launch of Conjuring: Viola Music of David Jaeger, featuring pianist Alison Bruce Cerutti and violist Elizabeth Reid – known as the Cerutti-Reid Duo. The Redshift Records productions lands Feb. 3.
