Intersection Festival Runs Sept. 1-5

Toronto is hosting a five-day festival next month featuring “experimental sounds from rock, jazz, hip hop, chamber music and more,” according to organizers. The Intersection Festival runs Sept. 1 to 5.

A new augmented reality app designed to deliver generative, site-specific listening experiences for transit users will launch in conjunction with the festival’s opening. A More Beautiful Journey features the work of more than 30 local musicians, groups and sound artists.

Other highlights include performances by Anthony Braxton, James Fei, Nadja and the Nihilist Spasm Band.
