Toronto’s Music Gallery has a pair of noteworthy concerts scheduled this weekend. Those in or close to the city know the venue to be an admired, long-standing pillar of the avant-garde scene.
Montreal’s celebrated Quatuor Bozzini is performing on June 14. Their set will include the Toronto premiere of French composer Éliane Radigue’s “Occam Delta XV.”
“Bozzini in my estimation is one of the great string quartets that Canada has ever produced,” says David Dacks, artistic director at the Music Gallery. “Quatuor Bozzini in concert is an intensely shared experience with meticulous and sensuous attention to detail. This will be no different, with pieces by Andrea Young, Jason Doell and Michael Oesterle on the program.”
The following night, June 15, Toronto Creative Music Lab will perform.
