“When I play, I feel like I’m doing martial arts. Luckily, I’ve done this before, so it helps a lot to get into the spirit of the piece. The layout of the instruments is so big, it takes up so much space, that the way I have to move around, it’s like I’m doing tai chi. I have to be relaxed and move quickly at the same time because I have gongs everywhere to my right, to my left, up high, in front, but also quietly so that I don’t hang up all my equipment.” L’Action D’autray
